Specialized educator - Saint-Sacrement

YOUR ROLE

As a specialized educator, you will play an essential role in supporting people with hearing loss. Through your expertise, attentive approach and interpersonal skills, you will help them make the most of their hearing aids, stay connected with their loved ones and maintain their quality of life.

Your contribution

• Provide attentive, compassionate consultations where patients can discuss their listening and communication difficulties;
• Support patients in using their hearing aids and related technologies, including mobile phones, mobile applications and Bluetooth connectivity;
• Present listening and communication strategies that support adaptation to the world of sound;
• Advise patients on products and techniques for maintaining their hearing aids;
• Conduct preventive follow-ups and provide troubleshooting, inspection and cleaning appointments for hearing aids;
• Maintain thorough administrative follow-up of patient files, including authorization requests, billing and reminders;
• Participate in hearing health awareness activities.

YOUR PROFILE

• You have a diploma of college studies (DEC) in Special Care Counselling or equivalent training;
• You have at least five years of experience;
• You communicate easily in French, both verbally and in writing;
• You have an intermediate level of English that allows you to carry on a conversation;
• You are proficient with the Microsoft Office suite;
• You are comfortable with technology, including mobile phones, tablets, mobile applications and Bluetooth connectivity;
• You have good manual dexterity;
• You enjoy roles that combine helping relationships, customer service and administrative duties;
• You demonstrate attentiveness, empathy, discretion, thoroughness and strong organizational skills;
• You enjoy teamwork and can manage multiple priorities.

To ensure effective communication with our predominantly English-speaking clientele, proficiency in English is essential.
