ENT specialist

The ENT (ear-nose-throat) doctor, also known as otorhinolaryngologist, treats disorders of the head and neck. They help with hearing, voice, smell and taste disorders.They are able to perform surgery on the ears, sinuses, nose, neck or throat to treat or cure diseases, infections or congenital malformations.

If they find that a patient has hearing loss, they can inform them of the options available. If the condition cannot be treated medically or surgically, they will refer the patient to an audiologist or audioprosthetist.
