Speech-language pathologist
The speech-language pathologist’s primary goal is to help people communicate better. They use their expertise to assess and treat communication problems in children, teens and adults. They can treat disorders such as developmental language delay, speech disorders (phonological disorders, verbal dyspraxia, stuttering, etc.), developmental language disorders (dysphasia), specific learning disorders (dyslexia, dysorthographia, etc.) and orofacial myofunctional disorders (lisping, atypical swallowing, tongue thrust, etc.).
Once they have finished their assessment, the speech-language pathologist can offer treatments that meet their patients’ needs. They are always available to answer questions. They support patients throughout the assessment and treatment process
